Conference update - speakers

Biographies of all the speakers at our international online conference on 19 April 2021 are now available in the Resources section, along with other useful information.

With the conference date fast approaching, WAWC Chair Dr Pete Goddard said:

“We are absolutely delighted to present this illustrious line-up of speakers from around the world, all brought together by a shared interest in the welfare of wild animals. There will be a wide range of experience and perspectives on show, and we also look forward to hearing the input of delegates on each and every topic.

“Registrations are now nudging the 400 mark - something that would not have been possible without the use of virtual technology, supported by the Universities Federation for Animal Welfare.

“The WAWC is most grateful to all those who have made a donation to support our work.

“Of course, we don’t want cost to deter anyone from joining the event, which is why there is a range of price options available on the GoToWebinar registration site, including a zero cost option. And registration will remain open up to, and even during, the event - so please join us!”

Pete recently recorded a podcast about the conference - and wild animal welfare in general - with the wildlife broadcaster and campaigner Charlie Moores, giving further insight into the aspirations of the WAWC to improve the lives of sentient, free-living wild animals.
